Ivona Tau is a generative A.I. artist from Vilnius, Lithuania who works with neural networks as a medium in experimental photography and motion painting. Her goal is to find and evoke emotions through artificially intelligent tools, this way making them more human and relatable. By transforming her own experiences captured on analog and digital film, she creates universally relatable memories.

Tau comes from the intersection of arts and technology, with 15 years of combined experience in professional photography and A.I. research. She was awarded the best award in the Digital Ars 2020 contest as well as the Computer Animation category in Computer Space International Computer Art Forum 2021.

Her work has been auctioned at the most prestigious auction houses, such as Sotheby’s New York, Duran Arte y Subastas, Poly Beijing, as well as showcased worldwide, including The House of Fine Art, CAFA, Frieze LA, Art Week Shenzhen, Vellum LA, CAWA, ADAF, Ars Electronica Garden & many more. Tau is active on the crypto art scene, trending on such platforms as Foundation, Known Origin, and objkt.com, and is currently a TOP 10 female creator on Tezos blockchain.

She is also active in the A.I. research community and pursues a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, Multimedia department.
